I heard this in Intermad and really liked it; hearing it without graphics now is just as amazing and the sound, despite being of a slightly disadvantaged quality, is quite brilliant to listen to. Normally I only check out the first three or four pages of top ranked songs on the Goth genre list, but this is well worth branching out for. I like it a great deal better than most of the higher ranked songs. Lovely to listen to, and captivating.

This is undoubtedly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard on Newgrounds, ever. Actually, scratch that; it's the most beautiful male duet I've ever heard in my entire life of this genre. The voices are both absolutely gorgeous and perfectly toned. There was no shakiness whatsoever and the duets were done in idyllic harmony. This definitely made me emotional; great piano and guitar work, definitely a powerful song, or should I say ballad? I have to download this; I'd be a much poorer person musically without it.
This is normally NOT my type at all, but it was just fantastic and awe-inspiring.
You have honestly made Newgrounds a better and more enjoyable place to be in.
Thank you a thousand times over; this song made my week.

I am slightly annoyed that everyone keeps referencing Kingdom Hearts, though. As much as they used this song in the game, it's originally from the Nightmare Before Christmas, so any adaptions can be tributed to NBC and not KH. Still, this is one of the best versions I've ever heard of This is Halloween; excellent work and the music is all rather perfect. <3 Much love for the skills involved.

Doesn't really remind me of a hard battle theme though. In actuality, I'm picturing the opening scenes of a crime show - you know, detectives and the like. It's like a new-age Law and Order or something, haha. But the beats are lovely and it's fast-paced and exciting. There's nothing bad about it whatsoever, and it's entirely catchy. Well done.

I can picture near the end of an episode of Criminal Intent: Detective Goran's eyes narrowing, watery and thoughtful, and his mouth set in a firm, straight line. Scene fades out, next there's a cat-and-mouse elusive search for who they now know to be the criminal. Well done, very thoughtful and mysterious. Also very eerie, but it works in the favour of the song, of course.

Ha as I read what you put I was listening to this and I could picture that too... I pictured a film noir type setting all in black and white :-)
I'm glad you liked the song, I'm gonna start making more like this very soon.

I have no idea WHAT everyone else is talking about: why on earth would this need a melody? It's perfect as it is. I think it's a powerful song with a great rhythm and an interesting ferocity to it. Sometimes, that is all a song needs - it's as simple as that. I for one think that it's an outstanding submission, hence the ten and five. Loved it, great job. <3

This is a really powerful piece; with brilliant guitar, drum and piano work. Practically every element of this works in it's favour - and it's definitely wonderful to listen to. I love the rhythm and the tune of this, it's very energetic and yet dark and sombre at the same time. Pre-preparation for an apocalyptic mythological inter-species war, anyone? Still, great job; one of the best things I've heard from you.
Yes, insomnia is the BEST catalyst, and never forget it. This song here is a great example.

Wow, thank you so much!
Yes, definitely could be a preparation for an apocalyptic mythological inter-species war ha ha.
Fortunately, I suffer from insomnia almost every night. ; )

Yes, well, you know, of course you'd have the biggest cock out of everyone. It's NG, what do you expect? Lulz. Hilarity, though, and that was very, er, NOT lame of you. Points just for the laugh factor. Not that I like hip hop or freestyling one bit, but this made my day. =D
Author's Response:
Well I'd obviously have the biggest cock if I was doing it right. Otherwise I would be doing it wrong, amirite?

I wasn't really "into" this song until I read the description about half a minute in, and realised that the music sounds exactly like what you're trying to convey. The track really is deep and has a heart to it; describing the wounds of the earth perfectly. You're right - we are going to hell eventually, and probably soon. But until then, music like this helps make it a better journey. Thanks for submitting; it is great to listen to!

"Life compressed into 4:22 minutes..."
This was beautiful, inspiring and all that jazz. Made me tear up a bit; it takes a strong and emotion-based track to do that, so you've obviously put your heart and soul into this. I'm really impressed by this, and it is really so nostalgic and futuristic at once. It makes me feel as though I'm standing at the peak of time, looking both back and forward at once and having to make a choice that will alter the rest of my life. Very, very imaginative, and the soft tune in the background (kind of flute-ish) really ties it up nicely. <3
