YUSS, good vocals! Finally, they are hard to find on the goth portal. (Whiny, dreary women get annoying, nay?) I love this piece, and the piano work is nicely put together. Has an interesting effect - slightly 80s arthouse film element for some strange reason. Nice.

I began listening to this and when the creepy vocal elements came in I was 100% hooked. Now THIS is what I came to the audio portal for. It's eerie, surreal and ultimately a piece of horror come to life. Yes, would definitely suit a horror flick. The whole thing is done really well... I can't believe this isn't rated higher. <3

Very melodious, I was quite pleased to spend time detecting the different elements and overall it was amazingly put together and created a great sound. Probably one of your best by far. Faved, fived and ten points to add to all that! Nice work.

Just so fascinating to listen to this unfold. Exactly like it would sound in a RPG. Haunting, really, and gorgeous string work. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first because it seemed a bit generic but then after a while it began to really captivate me and the intricacy of it was alluring. Much love.

The intro cracked me up the first time I heard it, but it was really a nice way to set the song up. The beats were brilliant and the whole song was just reminiscent of a morbid Amazonian sacrifice ritual at some volcano-top altar. Weird, nay? Still, great work.

This COMPLETELY belongs in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, I don't care where, but just somewhere. It's fantastical. Me likes. Me likes a LOT. Epic beyond words.

Wow, this would make a good epic battle music backup. I love the introduction, it caught my attention straight away. <3 10/10 and 5/5. Hope this makes the first page of Goth music soon; it deserves it.

Disturbing synth... and the vocals remind me eerily of the band The Cruxshadows. Not overly intense, but definitely had a melodic, haunting quality. It fits the genre in an old-school fashion, so extra points for that. 5/5. Not a bad piece. <3
Author's Response:
Thanks! I don't know the Cruxshadows, I'll have to look them up. I was trying to sound similar to Dead Can Dance and This Mortal Coil (hence the name drop) without sounding like a direct copy. I've always loved the old 80's goth music, back before everything turned into stiletto heels for men and loud, talentless guitar.

Seeing as it conjured up images for so many others, here's mine:
A dark castle, candles lit upon a dark night to caress the balcony in soft, barely-seen light. A lady, petticoated and coated in the finest lace, waits breathlessly for a distant sign. From an angle we see blood trickle down her mouth, and then all falls dark...until the sign comes. Make of that what you will.

Loved this version the absolute best and I could listen to it for hours upon hours. Really upbeat and insanely catchy. This is an amazing piece of music.
