Never, EVER, have I seen Fancy Dog so muscular, so fit, so ultimately ready to get things done - Doggy Style! He's been in the gym, hasn't he? You slave drivers! Get that dog out of the gym! He doesn't belong there! He can't even stairmaster!
Loving the seriously dramatic pretence of the pieces and the new little quirky intro-ish thing. CUTE CHIBI SUN FTW! Even HE is a friend to Fancy Dog. Which makes me wonder how Fancy Dog has made friends with the sun without getting burnt to a crisp, but anyway. I hope they have enough water to hose down the mess he made of that forest.
Also, random squirrel listening to music pwns all. It's like Foamy, only real. Thumbs up.
Author's Response:
Yes, he's been to the gym and he has been working hard. It's a bummer he took steroids.

Oh my god. You used the theme song from House. Will you marry me? I play that like every day on my iPod. Nice parody of the House intro, too, with the spines and heart diagram type things. That scene was particularly neat. I loved the scene with the stick figure who became immersed in hearts. Very well animated, that scene, and it was lovely to watch. All in all, a great animation. Appropriate music, not a bad concept.
Author's Response:
I hope you don't plan on basing your marriages on music taste lmao
And yeah the depression/love one was definitely the most popular. I guess thats the one that pretty much everyone can relate to.

An amazing film done to an amazing song. It really was so fitting - the lyrics went perfectly with the scenario and the world of Halloween Town was brought to life so well. You did a great job, be proud of it. Loved the animation, simple yet effective and it was brought together pretty well. Thumbs up.
Author's Response:
Thanks a lot for your score and review. I couldn't think of anything but Nightmare Before Christmas when I first heard this song.

After reading all the other reviews I can't not leave one of my own. I saw this when it first came out and thought it was absolutely genius. To all those complaining about the use of tracing, how ELSE are we going to replicate the logos? I doubt anyone would want to completely redraw it from scratch - that would just result in a shoddy looking logo, and nobody wants Disney to come off looking bad. I DO like the Disney logo, and I'm not planning on recreating it, but I'm very glad I saw this and I think it's fun enough to just watch the various steps of creating it - it's also nice to know that I CAN create it if I so choose.
I do wish that those who left negative reviews didn't bother. What isn't useful to someone will undoubtedly be useful to someone else. After all, even Disney wasn't original - for a great deal of their films they used Anderson and Grimm tales.
A++ recreation. Good job.

Brilliance. I love how angry you are in this one. It's actually pretty convincing, to be honest. This is my favorite one, not because it's the funniest, but because you're just purely raging against the guy... It's just hilarious... "Is my f***ing porno here yet? No." xD Classic. Especially by the end when he plays along with it. I don't know why this got such a low score - I think it's A++. Even if it was boring I'd listen to it purely for the fact that your accent is pretty neat. Thankfully it's not boring though. Ahh, keep making these, they make my day. Thumbs up.
Author's Response:
Lmao thanks!
haha, Yeah this guy has been hanging up on me right away lately.
Same with Sam, they just hang up now, I will try and get them though.
I knew this guy, like in person, thank god he doesn't know who it is calling him :P I used to hang out with his son when I lived at my parents house.
Thanks for the support

I can't tell you how amused I was at the first one, it was just so funny, but this one is way better! Far more hilarious! I don't know why he doesn't just hang up as soon as he realises who you are, but I'm so glad he doesn't. I sincerely hope you make more of these, they make my day whenever I listen to them. Seriously, I do feel a bit sorry for the guy, but from what I hear he doesn't suffer much from it. I wonder if he'll ever get his present. :/ I hope so! He could always use more chickens! Bravo.
Author's Response:
LMFAO thanks! ahha Naw I am not gog to mail him a chicken, I am usually to broke to buy grocerys for my self let alone mail him a chicken haha unless I stole it, then it'd be ok haha.
I know, I am supprised he doesn't just hang up as well, he's got some very serious anger problems! LMFAO

Finally, a collection of valid reasons outlining the exact ways in which Twilight SUCKS! Thank you so much, I feel inclined to kiss the ground on which you walk because that is the truest and funniest material about Twilight I've ever seen. Classic. But seriously, am I the only female teenager who hates Twilight and everyone in it? It seems that way. Anyway, great animation, awesome plot (Yours, of course, not Twilight's) and such spontaneous material. Made my day, dude. Made my absolute day.
Author's Response:
That could very well be the case. Maybe not the ONLY one, but definitely one of the few. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked it!

Wow, never thought I'd see a flash animation done to Tripod; those guys are freaking awesome, haha. And that song is classic - thanks for animating it. You got the likeness of the band pretty well too, even if it was in stick figure form, haha. The Mighty Boosh reference was amusing, too. Anyway, great job, you really captured the essence of the song. <3
Author's Response:
Hehe, yeah, I'm actually happy with how my stylized depictions of the Tripod guys turned out.
Also, I'm glad to see someone else who knows The Mighty Boosh. :P

Ah, it's so difficult to review this because I've already told you most of my thoughts on this already, haha, and I dislike repeating myself. As I've said, it was very cinematic, and created a great deal of suspense with the unfolding events. I was incredibly impressed (like before) with the special effects and particularly pleased with the lighting effects when he crashed on that mysterious planet, which was something I hadn't seen before. The light was very vivid, and very realistic. I can tell how much work you put into all the shading and the explosions and the various 3D shapes, so I'm really glad that it turned out well. It's getting to be quite an interesting little series and I can't wait for number three. Well done.
Author's Response:
Heh, thanks.
I wouldn't have minded if you'd repeated things, because then they're out in the open, and not in my inbox :P
You only originally only saw up too...him crashing into the tree, I think, so I guess you wouldn't have seen the blue planet...
an improvement on him 'opening his eyes'? :P

First thing that struck me was the lack of color; it was rather Sin City-esque and it was quite captivating. I must say, you've outdone what I expected when I clicked onto this flash. You've combined a good although albeit somewhat generic monologue with a brilliant musical score and fairly fluid graphics to make something surreally excellent. Even though there's been a sort of "wrongdoing masculine figure with a good heart where it counts" theme done many times before (or maybe I just watch too many movies), this really stood out and I'm not surprised that it's gotten such a good score at all. This is probably the best christmas flash I've seen so far.
What actually intrigued me the most was the comic in the credits. It was awesome to watch - kind of like when there's a behind-the-scenes storyboard special for one of your favorite television shows. The original art style was bordering on professional - do you or have you thought about being a graphic novel writer?
Anyway, great flash, truly done in a well-developed sense of composition and I can find no fault with it whatsoever. Loved the idea; the conventions of Christmas broken down into the commercial side is always a winning ticket if it's done the right way. Let's face it, christmas is mindless exchanging of money, although there is a certain mystic aura to it, mostly because of the falsified atmosphere but I can understand where your character got his cynicism from. He has that "bad childhood" vibe.
As a last note, maybe you should look at turning that character into a series. It'd do very well.
Thumbs up.
<3 Merry Freaking Christmas. xD
Author's Response:
thank you! Color an be a very valuable asset if used correctly. And to answer your question about the graphic novel writer: I wanted to be one of those writer/pencil/inker types that did most of the work himself, but i rediscovered my passion for animation. Since then, i've been looking for clever and unique ways to clash the two.
cheers
