[Darkening Hope]

Intriguing...

There is something so insatiably haunting and melodic about this. I was hooked from the first moment and it dug it's claws into me and wouldn't let go. Inspiring, and definitely earns a place on my fave list. I can't believe this isn't rated higher. Half-tempted to come back every day and vote five until it IS, but hey, wouldn't be fair on other people, would it? Loved the piece around the third minute where it quietened down and became more surreal. <3

Far better than the other two versions, and the length helps as well. I'm not sure why people demand so much more from you - I think there's very little to work with in the first place so they have unrealistic expectations. I like this, though; it's slightly eerie and yes, hypnotic.

Took me well over a minute to start getting into it, but when I did, it was fantastic. Love the guitar pieces and the little vocal pieces in the background are a nice effect too. Hard to find anything wrong with it. Keep up the awesome work, and much love to you. <3

Sad...and gorgeous all at once.

Words cannot express how beautiful this was. You have so much talent... so much. I've heard a lot of awesome music in the portal... but nothing tugged at my emotions as much as this. Emotions count far more than awesome-ness as far as I'm concerned, so this deserves to be the best song in the portal. <3

Entrancing...

Truly one of the best audio tracks I have ever heard on the portal. Much love for the use of the Gandalf quote; I can never emphasize enough how that fits into the music. It's so haunting and ethereal. Very well done. I shall download at some point. This manages to be sad and inspiring at the same time - a rare trait. Amazing music: keep it up. <3

Gorgeous...

Towards the end I was really captivated. The whole thing was really very beautiful and wondrous to listen to. I'll agree with Wolfguard: surreal indeed. It was so easy to get into and held my attention even when I had other things going on around me. Lovely piece of music.

It's very quaint, and well done.

I think it's perfect just the way it is, vocal bits and all. Brilliant piece, thanks for submitting it. FFVIII is my all-time favourite video game and the music is all so wonderful. Much respect for having enough dedication to put effort into this.

FFVIII is also one of my all-time favorites. In my opinion you really can't get too much better. I am seriously thinking of doing more with FFVIII, but since the music on the game is so complex it may take some time before I am able to finish something of decent quality. I will let you know when that happens though ^^.

Thanks for the review, and its nice to see someone else that likes FFVIII over FFVII.
